Tell Us What Happened
A handful of straightforward questions about your situation, who's involved, what's being claimed, when it started. Nothing that requires you to already understand the legal side of it.
How It Works
Learn how IAMPROSAY works to provide legal self-help tools, document creation resources, and guidance for handling legal matters with confidence today.
You don't need to know what a document is called before you start. Most people who land here don't, they just know a collector won't stop calling, or they got handed something from a court, or their credit report has something on it that shouldn't be there. That's the actual starting point. Tell us what's going on, and we figure out which document fits from there.
A handful of straightforward questions about your situation, who's involved, what's being claimed, when it started. Nothing that requires you to already understand the legal side of it.
Dates, account numbers, names, amounts, whatever your specific document needs. We only ask for what's actually relevant to your case, not a generic intake form that doesn't fit your situation.
You won't be asked to know what an "affirmative defense" is or what counts as "sufficient knowledge to admit or deny." We ask in plain language, and your answers get translated into whatever the document actually needs to say.
Once we know what you're dealing with, your answers get organized into the document built for that specific situation, a dispute letter, a court response, whatever applies. This isn't a blank template you're staring down alone. It's built around what you actually told us.
Names, dates, account numbers, case information, go through it carefully. A small error here can cause real problems later, so this step is worth taking slowly.
The document reflects what you told us. If something's off, or you left something out, this is the moment to fix it, before it's sent anywhere or filed with a court.
Before you use it, make sure you actually understand what this document does and what happens once it's out of your hands. If anything's unclear, that's worth resolving now, not after you've already sent it.
Once you're satisfied with it, download your document and follow the instructions for your specific situation, mailing a dispute letter, filing a court response with the correct court, or sending something to a collector. What "next" looks like depends entirely on the document itself, and we'll walk you through what applies to yours.
This depends on what you sent and who it went to. A credit dispute typically kicks off an investigation with the bureau or furnisher. A court filing moves your case forward according to that court's process. A letter to a debt collector may or may not get a response, depending on the collector. We can't control what happens on the other end, but we can help you understand what to generally expect and what to watch for next.
Legal documents are often written in language that assumes you already know what it means. We built IAMPROSAY around the opposite assumption, that most people haven't done this before, and shouldn't have to decode legal terminology just to respond to something that landed in their mailbox. Plain questions in, a properly structured document out.
IAMPROSAY provides legal information and helps you prepare legal documents based on what you tell us. We are not a law firm, and using this platform doesn't create an attorney-client relationship.
What we don't do: tell you which legal strategy is right for your case, guarantee a particular outcome, or replace the judgment of a licensed attorney when your situation calls for one. If your case is complicated or high-stakes, we'll say so, and we'd rather point you toward an attorney than pretend a guided document covers everything.
IAMPROSAYMost people can get through the guided questions and generate a document in well under an hour, depending on how much detail your situation involves. The bigger time factor is usually what happens after, gathering documents you don't have on hand yet, or waiting on a deadline you're working against. We'd rather you take the time to get your answers right than rush through it.
Having a few things on hand makes the process faster:
You don't need everything up front, you can always come back and add details, but having the basics ready helps.
You don't need the right words for it. Just tell us what happened, and we'll help you figure out what to do next.
